The “ Dramatic” section has presented 113 plays since the first performance of “Company for George” in 1927. We currently aim to perform 3 different plays each year. A recent innovation has been the performance of shorter plays, one-acts and sketches which are accompanied by supper and have proved very popular each year.

We would be very pleased to welcome new members. We have a thriving Junior section which provides new talent, but its members often leave the area for further education  (and don’t come back!). 20 and 30 somethings would be particularly welcome, and as in most amateur societies men are at a premium!

Rehearsals and performances are at the URC Church Hall- and plays are performed in a variety of settings. Directors, actors and behind the scenes helpers have learned to be very adaptable—and the audience don’t know where they will be sitting from one production to the next.

Details of the next production can be found in the Productions section.
